LEVEL QUESTIONS

This is just a reminder on different levels of questions. SENIORS: You should have two or three of these as part of every journal entry for a Socratic Seminar. SOPHOMORES: You will not have them due as regularly, but will be able to see when they are due on weekly agendas.

LEVEL 1: Topical Questions. What does it say? The answer to these are given right in the book.

LEVEL 2: Thesis/Arguable/Inferential Questions. What does it mean? "Why?" questions.

LEVEL 3: Reach for Significance/Universal Meaning Questions. What does it matter? How could what you are reading relate to the real world?
